Eco Photonics

Location:Pasteur-CabinetTrack:in presence

Chairs:

Martin Regehly (TH Wildau)

Christoph Zesch (TH Wildau)

Abstract:

The Ecophotonics session focusses on the use of photonic technologies to establish resource- and energy-efficient processes in industry and research and to promote an ecologically healthy environment. This includes NIR- and LIPS-based sorting processes in recycling, laserspectroscopic sensors for combustion processes, applications for environmental monitoring, light based medical technologies and much more.
To kick off the workshop, the ZIM network (www.ecophotonics.de) will be presented which initiates and supports projects between industrial partners and research institutions. This will be followed by scientific presentations on selected topics in the field of EcoPhotonics.

Agenda:

09:00-09:05 Welcome and Opening Remarks, Martin Regehly (TH Wildau)

09:05-09:15 "The ZIM-Network EcoPhotonics –Finalization and Conclusion", Christoph Zesch (TH Wildau)

09:15-09:25 "Introduction to the new “Quantum Innovation Hub”, Claus Villringer (TH Wildau)

09:30-10:00 "PLATO – A space telescope designed tosearch for Earth-like planets in the MilkyWay", Dennis Dahlke (DLR)
