Advances in hybrid PICs II
Chairs:
Crispin Zawadzki (Fraunhofer HHI/ PolyPhotonics Berlin e.V.)
Arne Schleunitz (micro resist technology GmbH/ PolyPhotonics Berlin e.V.)
Dominic Schulz (Fraunhofer HHI)
Abstract:
Hybrid integration technologies are taking photonic integrated circuits (PICs) to the next level. Platforms such as PolyBoard and Silicon Nitride (SiN) cover a broad wavelength range from visible light (VIS) to near-infrared (NIR) and enable a wide range of applications in the fields of telecommunication and sensing as well as medical and quantum technologies.
On October 8th, 2026, international speakers will present the current state of the art, application potential, and roadmaps using various examples from hybrid photonic integration platforms.
The workshop is part of Photonics Days Berlin Brandenburg and includes a supporting program as well as an exhibition featuring demonstrators.
