Security & Defense I
This symposium will examine trends shaping next‑generation defence photonics, including applications of high‑power laser systems, breakthroughs in silicon photonics and microwave photonics that unlock compact, low‑SWaP, and software‑defined architectures; and the emergence of novel optical component technologies that enhance robustness, and system integration. Sessions will highlight new imaging modalities - from polarimetric to event-based that expand situational awareness across all military domains. The programme also addresses the accelerating role of photonics in space, including secure optical networks and related technologies.
Chairs:
for Session 1: Adam Piotrowski (VIGO Photonics)
for Session 2: Hans Dieter Tholl (IRT Dr. HD Tholl)
for Session 3: Jeremy Picot Clemente (EPIC)
